The capital of Andalusia, Seville, is a charming and historic city famous for its Moorish architecture and the iconic flamenco dancing. Throughout the city major landmarks include the Triana district and many strikingly beautiful buildings from the Moorish period. Take you business lunch in one of the excellent restaurants and tapas bars, serving both the traditional local cuisine and more international offerings. Seville is served by the San Pablo Airport, which is Andalusia’s second largest airport after Málaga and easy to reach from your hotel in Seville.
The Triana neighbourhood lies on the west bank of the Guadalquivir River in the heart of the city offering a vibrant flamenco culture, many festivals and a pottery and tile industry. The “Casco Antiguo” or historic district of Seville is home to the magnificent Moorish architecture of the city. The city hosts theatres and cinema complexes as well as a wide range of restaurants, tapas bars, and evening entertainment. If your hotel in Seville doesn't have a swimming pool, then you can visit one of the many gyms around the city. An excellent way of getting around is cycling. Seville has become one of the best cities for cycling with an extensive network of dedicated cycle tracks covering 170 km of the city.
Regular exhibitions and events are held at the Seville Congress Centre, and conference venues are available across the city. The Nervión district is the commercial heart of Seville, where much of the region’s business networking is transacted, and the School of Business of the University of Seville is located in this area. The city also hosts the International University of Andalusia.
Major landmarks include the Alcázar castle complex containing a palace built by Moorish workmen for the Christian King Pedro back in the 1360s. The María Luisa Park and the riverside walks offer a pleasant break, as does the Plaza de España. For a taste of Seville's culture, Triana offers flamenco dancing and tapas bars.
